Chicory                                     

Chicory is a healthy vegetable.

You can eat it hot.Then it tastes bitter.

You can also eat it cold.Chicory with apples and sauce is very tasty.

Children find it not so tasty!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Beer                         

In our town there is a large factory.

They make our best known beer:Stella

Chocolate              

We eat a lot of chocolate.

We make pralines,sweets,cake with chocolate,waffles,everyone likes chocolate!!!!!!!!!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Winter

It’s wintertime in Belgium. Now, the weather is very bad. It rains a lot and it’s not cold at all. We don’t like this weather.

Sometimes when it’s very cold it is snowing. We make a snowman and throw snowballs.

 

  

Santa Claus

In Belgium we celebrate Santa Claus at 6 december. He's coming at night with presents. We love it! After Santa Claus we celebrate Christmas and New Year . We also have holidays for two weeks.

Sports in Belgium

There are a lot of different kinds of sports in Belgium: football, tennis, hockey, athletics, basketball, …

We have good teams and good players.

Our top-class sport is football. Our national team is called “the Red Devils “

Cyclo-cross is a typical Belgian sport. Cyclo-cross is a road bicycle race held in the field, in the sand and the mud. We have won many gold medals with Sven Nys. You can see him on the picture.

They are always very dirty!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We also participate in the Iron man in Hawaii. This is a heavy triathlon. Last year it was won by a Belgian, we were very proud .
